Have we received a request from XCon Myrtle Beach? I'm not sure if I can make it but wanted to be sure it was posted for others...

I asked greg to check a month ago. He's one of the celebrity guests... 501st is also listed as guests. I'm coming up if they're giving us passes... I have friends offering me space in their hotel room.

We haven't received any request from XCon.

I'd like to go, should someone contact them? They are advertising 501st as guests and one of our members has a fan table of his own there.

Isn't Greg already in contact with them? I asked him about it a month ago thinking he'd take the lead.

Messaged Greg and he says he's not the POC. He said he asked them to put in a request and they said they did. You may want to run with it...

Don't want to get into it or anything. I have talked to Robin (a guy), tried booking one of my star cars there. Said that 501st was going to have a table there. So don't know if someone has talked to him before from 501st. He definitely has you all listed on his con site.

They always put the 501st Legion logo on their webpage but this year they have not sent a request. They need to do things by the book if they want us there. In years past, it's been a good time. They put on a good con. I myself would liek to go back BUT the past 2 years of XCON I've been too busy.

I emailed again, saying we can't officially ask our members to attend without all the info on the 501st.com Web form. I reminded him that there was confusion last year about dressing rooms and passes to get in. I also gave Robin my phone number, so I guess I will take lead. Might be mid afternoon Friday before I can get there tho.

Update: I got a reply, again saying he sent it in on the website 2 months ago. I'll make a new event post with the template later tonight using info from their website and last year's event post. He's going to give us the locker rooms on the 1st floor that no one else will be using. 501st members get in free (told him I would get a headcount a day or two before) and family members (2 each) can get discount tickets. Ages 12 and under are free.

If you want to take lead on XCON, cool. I say, go for it.

I get a copy of every event request (and file it away for record keeping) and XCON never came in this year. We hear that a lot from people who want us to attend.

What's the date for XCON this year?
