Lens shaping question.

Working on my Ata helmet. I plan to use an epoxy mount for both eyes, but I'm having trouble reshaping the lenses. Tried putting one in boiling water. The water boiled off before the plastic was soft. Any suggestions out there? Every tutorial I find on lenses leaves out how to shape the lens.

You can drill holes in the lens in strategic locations, and use Chicago screws , epoxy the female side down pre set into location by the lens, then use male side to screw lens Down to faceplate.

But... Also, you don't want them air tight. You want air to breath through , keeps lens from fogging up, and keeps the trooper from assign out...haha.

I did the same thing with some lens, tried boiling water.... Didn't soften the plastic .

Good luck.

So basically. You want some gap between lens. Depending how you trim the eye sockets would determine how the lens is seated.

Hadn't thought of the air venting in. Thanks
