(NC) Sept 24 Turtle rescue

Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can): We were invited to come out and troop The Turtle Rescue. They showed how they help the turtles out. They had a few stations set up. They had baby Turtle paintings. The kids made turtle hats. And they let the kids get hands on with a few turtles and tortoises. Everyone enjoyed seeing their favorite Star Wars characters. Everyone did a great job today and braved the heat. All the kids loved that we had a Tiny Vader. (Galactic Academy ) And for it being his first legit troop, I think he did awesome. He will be very valuable to the Garrison once he is of age. He was encouraging the kids to take pictures with us, he offered to let the hold his Lightsaber. And if they got a little spooked by us he went over and showed them that he was just a kid. The grown ups even enjoyed it. But everyone did awesome. And one of the best troops I have trooped in awhile.

We had over 100 people there when we expected 50-75, so we think it was a success. Apparently 2 of the presentations had a packed room full of audience - which is again AMAZING!!!
