Fayetteville’s Celebration of Pop Culture Everything cool and geeky! This is the second year for this event and it was so big last year, they extended it two days this year. I recall this being a very exhausting troop in terms of our popularity and the line to Con entrance was a half mile long. That is NOT an exaggeration!

I was there and met the other Kylo. He's currently working on approval. Awesome dude. His daughter was dressed up as mini Kylo. Also Bill is the best. He played along brilliantly with me and a Jedi who wanted to dual. Sad I didn't get to see his Maul on the first day but I was too tired from the drive. So many detours from Matthew.

Thanks Matt! There were a few Kylos (big and small!) on both days. The one in the pics with Maul is who Genna is referring to and Genna is in the pics with Vader. Just wanted to clarify that. Thanks for the comment on Maul! It makes the five-hour makeup session worth it.

Oh no, don't worry at all. I was there but I had only gotten approved the night before and I didn't have access to the forums yet to even sign up to troop so I don't think it "technically" counts as a troop for me.

It definitely counts. Your name has been added for trooping credit! OUTSTANDING Kylo Ren by the way, you look great and your presentation is excellent!

(And just to clarify for everyone: Genna is the Kylo with Vader and the other Kylo with Maul is a prospective member)

The makeup process takes at least five hours. And that's using a stencil I made from a life-cast of my face. I shave my head the night before so the timer starts when I put on the horns the next morning. I use the same ink used in the film and it goes on with an airbrush and a small paint brush is used to sharpen the edges and clean up the lines. It takes another two hours to remove the makeup at the end of the day. Maul demands patience, but it's worth it!
