(NC) Oct. 21 CES Fall Festival (Wilmington)
Posted: Sat Oct 22, 2016 8:31 pm
Date:
Friday, October 21
Location:
Codington Elementary School
4321 Carolina Beach Rd
Wilmington, NC 28412
Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Codington Elementary School's annual Fall Festival is the major fundraiser for the school and is put on by the PTA, a non-profit organization. There was a myriad of games and activities for the kids, and almost all the kids were wearing their Halloween costumes for the costume contest. Entire families even dressed up together. Everything was outside surrounding the school, games, live music, food tricks, pony rides, sumo bounce, magic show...there was a lot to do. We were asked to be an "event" instead of wandering so we set up a Blast A Trooper station. The line was constant and very long the entire time. Everyone wanted to blast us! Apparently in the head. We took it in stride and we had a blast. Then the outside fun got cut a bit early because a wicked storm rolled in and forced everyone inside. No one blamed the STORMtroopers, luckily. Well over 1000 people attended.
Did this event support a charity? If yes, which charity?:
Yes, Codington PTA
Event Length (Hours):
Arrived at 4pm for set up, event ran 5pm-8pm.
Indirect Funds Raised (Total money raised by event):(delete this section if not applicable)
$9300.00 was raised for the PTA
