(NC) Oct.31-Halloween Children's Hospital Visit (Asheville)

This was the first time the Carolina Garrison has trooped the Mission Children's Hospital in Asheville, NC and it was a fantastic event. We had a great turnout of troopers and we spent the day visiting children throughout the hospital. Hospital visits aren't always the easiest troops, but they certainly are some of the most rewarding troops. Seeing the excitement of these kids is such a powerful thing. Speaking of excitement, it wasn't just the kids... the hospital staff was also really excited to see the hospital halls filled with their favorite Star Wars characters. We also participated in a fun Halloween parade where we escorted kids around the hospital so they could go trick a treating in the different wards. The hospital took such good care of us and was absolutely amazing to work with. By the end of the day, we all agreed that we need events like this more often. I really look forward to returning to the children's hospital and building a great relationship with them.
