Overall Status: Approved :D

Mask/Helmet - I purchased the Darth Hair kit off of his Etsy Store. I utilized most of the kit but substituted the following items/materials

Duck Cloth - I purchased from Jo Anne's Fabric - The duck cloth from Jo Anne's is slightly heavier and I felt it presented better - All duck cloth was dyed with Black Tea and weathered with pastels and graphite powder.

Leather Strips - Purchased off of amazon.com - The leather from amazon was a heavier weight and came pre-dyed.

Image

Neck Wrap - Utilized left over duck cloth from helmet and added 3 long 2" strips to one shorter 6" strip. I simply wrap around my neck and tuck. Still need to weather.

Image

Breather Can - I purchased a can from Berzerker on the KC forums, installed armature wire and weathered with sand paper and various acrylic paints.

Image

Bandoliers - Made my own waist bandolier using tan vinyl leather. I also purchased an authentic British 1903 Bandolier off of Ebay.

Image

Robes - Robes Completed. Outer Robe was built with Monk's Cloth using the TK409 Pattern and the Inner Robe was built with Muslin using the Studio Creations Pattern. Both were dyed with Black Tea and weathered with Acrylic paint, olive oil, and Oven/Grill grime.

Waist Sash - Made with Muslin and weathered the same as the robes.

Arm Wraps - I have not yet built these yet, but plan to cut off sleeves from long sleeve shirt and wrap with left over helmet duck cloth.

Image

Boots/Leg Wraps - Bought $15 Rain Boots off of amazon.com and wrapped with left over duck cloth from helmet.

Image

Gaffi Stick - I utilized HappyTrooper's Gaffi Build (http://www.happytrooper.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and made my own.

That gaffi stick looks awesome to me. Did you do the welding?

Thanks Tom! It's actually hot glue :) To assemble the tail section, it's a PVC pipe and the fins are cut from a No Trespassing sign. The fins are then glued into the PVC Pipe with E-6000 and Hot Glue. I then painted the assembly with primer and metallic paint. Finally I weathered the welds with black acrylic paint (painted on then brushed off with a clean paper towel) and pastel sticks.

Thanks for your comment :tusken:

Thanks Jason, your builds look great as well. I'm planning on my second build being a Snow Trooper (Not sure when that will kick off though).

Awesome, do we know what's up with Krayt Clan Forums? Have you been able to access them? I have not for some reason.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw this. I'm sure you're aware that they are back up now.

On a side note, using Arcturus patterns, I've decided to try and knock out the waist bando with leather vinyl. No pictures yet, but if time allows I might try assembly tonight.

Update 2: Updated my first post with breather can picture.

Finished breather can.

Also, I started work on assembling waist bandolier pouches from leather vinyl utilizing Arcturus' (KC Forums) pattern. Here is the initial result....

Image

I'm fairly happy with the result, but would really like to complete with real leather at some point in the future. I need to add a brass button and weather, along with stuffing the pouch with tissue to achieve a more correct shape.

I've spoken with my costumer regarding the robes and should have them sewn up soon, then I will weather as needed.

Almost there...

My wife, friends and myself will be hitting up Oak City Comicon in 2 weeks, and I'm hoping to be completed before then and hopefully be 501st approved, then it's off to Celebration in April!

Thanks Tom :D

The Gaffi build is fun, easy, and best of all cheap :) I hope you get to knock it out after you finish up your sweet looking Kylo.
