SC - MAY 6 FCBD @ Richard's Comics (Greenville)
Posted: Tue May 09, 2017 2:28 pm
Date: 5/6/17
Location: Richard's Comics & Collectables. Greenville, SC
Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Late notice of event and time, along member availability conflicted with another nearby event.
Free Comic Book Day is an annual event that celebrates comic books and encourages both the established comic fan and the novice to come in and find something that may interest them. FCBD is held the first Saturday in May. The comic book industry comes together to give away free comics, and to encourage reading and support of this specialized literature.
I arrived by 0930 and was dressed out by 1030. I made rounds, greeted guests, took photos, and even provided some info about the 501st to interested parties, including a gentleman who did an excellent (to my novice eyes) Krennic.
As this was a joint venture with another fan group, I also assisted in with the nerf firing range that they had brought for the kids.
Did this event support a charity? If yes, which charity?: No
Event Length (Hours): 5 Hours
Carolina Garrison Members in Attendance:
1. Steven Firestine (90091) - Tie Reserve/Crewman
Check out some of the event photos below: (please post pictures rather than picture links)
Some pics were taken and as I get copies, I will post.
