Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):
Chloe and Jackson are twins. They are turning 6 years old. From the parents:
Jackson was diagnosed with Autism when he was two years old. He was also diagnosed with Global Apraxia and other sensory related issues. He was very late to speak and for a time we thought he was going to be completely non-verbal. In his short life he has come so very far and conquered many issues that adults struggle with including severe anxiety. In spite all of these challenges, he is a sweet natured and loving little boy. He is now very verbal...and always eager to talk (maybe too much). But, probably the most important thing is that he LOVES Star Wars! His favorite movie is Return of the Jedi which he has seen over twenty times. His favorite is Luke Skywalker but he loves the whole gambit of characters. Seeing real Stormtroopers at Disney last year was a real treat for him even though we couldn't get him into the Jedi Training Academy (we tried three times!). Needles to say, he will be super excited to have a real Stormtrooper come to his party.
Chloe is an amazing little girl. She has so much she has had to deal with involving her brother's Autism yet it doesn't seem to phase her. She has that almost mystical twin bond with her brother and understands him like no one else can. Honestly, she is Jackson's biggest advocate and often educates others about why we should respect differences. She is such a sweet and caring person. She is also a Star Wars fan and she loves Princess Leia... but really likes Rey from Force Awakens. One of their favorite books to read together at bedtime is the Star Wars Encyclopedia of Characters. Star Wars is a passion that allows Chloe and Jackson to always find common ground. Once again, we cannot thank you enough for attending Chloe and Jackson's party. They are going to be speechless..if that's possible for 5/6 year olds.
TROOPER TK-90499 REPORT LOG:
The staff at The Little Gym all dressed as Jedi (and one Arena Padme) and took the 44 kids attending into groups and rotated through Jedi Training stations. Lightsaber, hand-to-hand, balance & agility...all Jedi skills that were covered.
Master Jedi Varn oversaw the teachings until 2 Stormtroopers and a Shoretrooper arrived to present a Sith Vault containing a video message from Lord Vader. Also presented was a big box of Star Wars goodies for the twins. Then Kylo Ren appeared. He must have sensed Vader's presence! Many pictures were taken with the padawans and fun was had by all. Chloe and Jackson loved it and the family was extremely grateful for the Carolina Garrison's help in throwing a party that was out of this world!
NOTE: Wendy McNeil gets a Parent Of The Year Award for "Best Decorated Party"...ever.
