My big box is here!

Post by fxdl2002 »

9 months. It finally arrived. My tk is finally here. So now the fun begins. First. These gloves that came with it suck. They are dish gloves. What do you troopers advise? And neck seal, what do you advise there?
Now if I can only find the advisory thread about what you'll need in glues and the like.

Congrats, that's always an exciting moment when the big box arrives. The dishpan style gloves are actually most accurate, but can be pretty miserable to wear. I keep mine for cannon events where I need accuracy, but then have some more comfortable (but less accurate) for everyday trooping. There are quite a few options out there for gloves, mine are just a $7 pair of black gloves that I picked up at Lowes. Be sure to read up on all the informative tutorials over on the FISD forums and don't hesitate to ask questions. Good luck!

Thanks! Neck seal advice. Any thing I should avoid? And the clear plastic film, I assume it is peeled off?

congrats on the box!
I left the clear plastic on while cutting/shaping, gluing. last thing I did was pull it off.
I'm actually still using the next seal. But I replaced the gloves after the first troop

Have fun! :stormtrooper:

Heh, Found the neck seal, it was rolled up tinily. so that issue is solved. trimming is going well. 1 piece at a time. and weight loss agenda now is priority. Or I will definately be a 'Rogue One' prison trooper.

2.5 days of cutting and trimming and all the abs is sanded. Now the fun begins.
