Description of Event (Please share as much info as you can):

Make A Wish - Waffles for Wishes fund raiser breakfast 2017

Families came out to the Porch in Winston Salem to enjoy breakfast, help raise funds for Central and Western Make A Wish, and enjoy Charaters from th Carolina Garrison. Troopers mingled with the crowds as they dined, carried out various shannigans, and posed for nerorous picture. After the troop was over we were all treated to enjoy breakfast. It was a very fun and rewarding troop. Several Make a wish children were in attendance as well as representatives for Make A Wish. We look forward to the 2018 event.

It really was a great event. Thanks to everyone who came out so early Sat morning so proud and thankful for each of you. Wanted to share a email that our Make A Wish contact sent to us after the event.

Good afternoon, Brian, Matt and fellow 501st Legion,

Thank you so much for truly making the Waffles for Wishes event one to remember. The kids were so excited to see you all – I can’t thank you enough for showing up.

Attached are some amazing pictures from the event, if you and your team have any other pictures feel free to share them with me. Also, as soon as I have the final totals from the event I will be sure to let you know because you all played a major part in the morning.

Like I mentioned to Lindley and the rest of the team at The Porch, I totally believe that Saturday morning was the perfect demonstration of the power of a wish. Bringing the community together to spread hope, strength and joy to wish families at a time when they need it most. Thank you for bringing smiles to the faces of the kids that inspire us every day – you all are SO appreciated.

Best,
