501st and Rebel legion was invited to help With the Borderlands Comic Blood drive with The Blood Connection. Those who Donated got tickets to SC comic con and pictures with the Carolina Garrison.
We even got to meet Joe Winfield.
Joseph, was friends with Lilly Mueller. Joseph was boy of the year as Lilly was girl of the year. They had a special bond as Joe was diagnosed with leukemia at age 6. He is now 12 and 2.7 yrs post treatment. Joe lives and breathes Star Wars. Stormtroopers are his love, but the shock trooper - Matthew Cohen wears is his fav.
Joseph is boy of the year this year as well. He vows to continue their mission to find a cure. The Winfield family have been following the 501st carolina Garrison since Joe was diagnosed. And joe had the pleasure of bring surprised by a few as well as Mando mercs in 2013. Joe hopes to one day become a legion member as a stormtrooper.
