TK hopeful from Pittsboro, NC

Hey everybody! I have just received my AM 2.0 TK kit and am both excited and nervous to get started.
Are there ever any build parties in the triangle/greater Raleigh area? This will be my first build and I look forward to any advice/feedback. Thanks y’all!

Hello and welcome!
I know there is one coming up on June 2nd. Looks like it's in Lucama - I believe Shanda and James are hosting it, but I feel like it's at Ernie's house and maybe not theirs (I am sure names mean nothing, but other GC folks can confirm or correct me if I'm wrong.) Anyhow, about 90 minutes from you according to Google Maps
It's open to all so would be great for you and a good time to meet some other, local folks!
Anyhow, they do happen a couple times a year that I've seen, at least, and maybe there will be others closer to you I'm just not aware of. My costumes, so far, don't involve armor so I'm not up as much on the armor parties.
Our other TKs, I'm sure, can tell you the places to get started, but posting here was a good first step! Look forward to meeting you.
